Colorado Rockies

The Rocky Mountains is a chain of mountains that runs through the middle length of the continent of North America from the province of British Columbia to the state of New Mexico. The state of Colorado's western portion is covered by the mountain range.

The continent's continental divide runs through mountains. The San Juan Mountains and the Sawatch Mountains are a branch range located in central Colorado.

In 1954, the United States Air Force aircraft, Vixen 03 crashed in Table Lake, Colorado located in the mountains. In 1988, Dirk Pitt and Loren Smith took a vacation to the Colorado Rockies. [1]
